Project Manager

Smith Handyman Service is a residential and commercial repair, remodeling and maintenance company emphasizing exceptional customer service and quality. Our team is growing and we're seeking another Project Manager/ Coordinator for our deck and remodeling teams. The right candidate will be an expert in identifying solutions to problems and managing a team of technicians. We expect this person to have strong leadership and organizational skills, ensuring projects are done to completion and to company standards of quality and within the given time frame.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Exceptional leadership
  • Ability to read customers and employees – and communicate based on the needs of your audience.
  • Sales experience and the ability to sell without "selling". We sell our quality, our knowledge, our experience and our great reviews
  • 3+ years experience across a vast array of trades, including but not limited to: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall/paint, masonry, roofing
  • 3+ years project management
  • Developing standards and promoting process improvements
  • Tech Savvy

Sales Estimator

Smith Handyman Service, a locally owned company, is seeking to build our team by adding a person who can handle a mix of sales and estimating. This is a full-time position that will work out of our office off Lovell Road in West Knoxville and outside on-sight at potential jobs.

We are seeking individuals strong in estimating and selling either high end decks and covered porches, kitchens, bathrooms, basement and attic finishes.

We are looking for candidates knowledgeable in one of the areas listed above and will be making multiple hires within this category. This role requires strong communication, detail and follow up. We expect our estimators to have a good understanding of construction so as not to make promises we cannot keep. As a company we sell jobs based on our knowledge, the quality of our work and references from previous customers…no smoke and mirror selling.

We are a licensed General Contractor and support both residential and commercial remodeling jobs.

Our team is growing and we’re looking for a Roofing Scheduling Assistant to join us. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career and move up within the company. The job will consist of answering the phone’s for Smith Roofing and Exteriors as well as going with our Roofing Scheduler on outside calls. We expect a lot of growth in the coming months and this is a great opportunity to see and learn the business first hand.
